When someone starts using Melodics™, we require them to create an account by submitting an email address and password. The reason we ask all our users – even non-subscribing ones – to create accounts, is to ensure that only they can access their data. User passwords are hashed (one-way encrypted) before being stored on our servers. Even Melodics™ is unable to read that password.
Melodics™ collects data about our users’ in-app activity. This data is used to provide intelligent lesson suggestions, improve the application, and tailor our marketing activity. This data tells us, for example, what our most popular lessons are, or whether a particular lesson may be too hard or too easy – that sort of thing.
All communications between the Melodics™ app and our servers are secured using HTTPS. HTTPS secures the traffic between the app and the server it is communicating with, which protects against man-in-the-middle attacks. It provides 2-way encryption, which protects against eavesdropping, tampering with, or forging the contents of the communication.
User subscriptions to Melodics™ are managed by Chargebee, a third-party subscription management service. When a user subscribes to Melodics™ via Chargebee, they are required to provide payment details.
If a user pays for their subscription by credit card, the payment request is digitally signed by the Melodics™ app and passed via HTTPS directly to Stripe, an industry-leading payment processing service. Stripe’s privacy and security policies are available here.
If a user pays for their subscription through PayPal, their financial information is submitted directly to PayPal. PayPal’s privacy and security policies are available here.
Melodics™ follows industry-best standards and practices to keep our users' data safe and secure. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to get in touch by emailing support@melodics.com
